Frequently asked questions

Bidding, buying direct, selling your own car, or just making sure it's safe — everything new members ask before their first deal.

Every auction lot has a live countdown. Register for free, place a bid at or above the minimum shown, and the highest bid standing when the clock hits zero wins — provided any reserve the seller set has been met. You can raise your own bid as many times as you like before the close.

Every auction lot is inspected across six systems — engine and drivetrain, electrical, structure and frame, interior, tires and brakes, and title and history — before it goes live. The score out of 100 and the full report are published exactly as our technician recorded them, nothing adjusted for the listing.

You'll get an email the moment the auction closes with payment instructions and next steps. We handle title transfer and coordinate shipping or pickup from there — you don't need to arrange either yourself.

Some sellers set a confidential minimum price, separate from the starting bid. If bidding closes without reaching it, the seller can choose to accept the highest bid anyway, counter it, or relist the car — you won't automatically win at a price the seller never agreed to.

Some lots let you skip the auction entirely at a fixed price, shown as "Buy now" on the listing. It's available until either the auction ends or someone uses it — first come, first served, no waiting for a countdown.
